Linden - Tilia cordata Mill

A beautiful tree with extensive ornamental application in parks and gardens, linden was introduced to the country from the northern hemisphere during colonial times; there is, however, no related information available. In Chile we have learned to live with and enjoy its characteristics. Particularly abundant is Tilia cordata Mill that in spring gives off a soft perfume, turning the environment pleasant and cozy.

The linden yearly harvest is in springtime during the blossoming season; the flowers are carefully hand-picked and dried in the shadow.

Properties: Sudorific, sedative, diuretic and depurative. Helps fighting colds and cough spells.
